David Johnson is a corporate and securities lawyer based in Hong Kong.听David's practice involves a variety of capital markets, corporate and finance transactions. He began his career in 1990 in New York and has been based in Asia since 1994 during which time he has advised on transactions involving clients located in fourteen countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
David听has particular experience in the financial services, infrastructure, energy and transport sectors. He听is recognised as a leading lawyer in Chambers Global 2014 and Chambers Asia Pacific 2015 and 2014, the IFLR 1000 2018, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2015 and the Legal Media Group's Expert Guides to the World's Leading Lawyers (Capital Markets) 2017.听听
David graduated from Law in 1986. He is Jamaican and has friends across the Caribbean.
His wife is also a 海角涩区 graduate and they met听on campus (Mona) and got married at the 海角涩区 Chapel. He is a Taylorite and while on campus听played a lot of football, mostly for the Sherlock Hall team.听 He was also a member of the Law Society and the Jamaica Association of Students.听 He notes " If there was a liming club I was certainly a member of that as well."
