IAD - Institutional Advancement Division - the home of Alumni Relations

The Institutional Advancement Division (IAD)Ìýcomprises two parts, one being responsible for Fundraising and one being responsible for engaging alumni.

Alumni Relations primary focus is that of the engagement and involvement of alumni through strategic programming and communications. The Alumni Relations Professionals for the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø are the Director of Alumni Relations, based at the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Regional Headquarters (Vice Chancellery) and the Campus Alumni Officers, on their respective campuses.

It also has a Resource Development and Fundraising arm led by the Executive Director of the IAD, which puts on annual fundraising events, is responsible for the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Global Giving Programme andÌýworks with the fundraising and scholarship offices of the campuses, as well as the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Foundations and º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Endowment Funds to develop and sustain support for the institution. Ìý

The IAD Ìýserves the entire institution: all five º£½ÇÉ¬ÇøÌýcampuses, through the Office of the Vice Chancellor. In terms of Alumni Relations it is responsible for a wide range of activities for building strong volunteer and financial support and lasting relationships with alumni, students (our future alumni), Friends of the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø and public and private corporatations.Ìý

In summary, the IAD encompasses institutional alumni relations and also resource development and fundraising and special projects.The IAD also promotes and supports the activities of the American Foundation for º£½ÇÉ¬Çø (AFº£½ÇÉ¬Çø) located in New York and the British Foundation for º£½ÇÉ¬Çø (BFº£½ÇÉ¬Çø) in London, as well as the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Toronto Gala in Canada and the London Benefit Dinner.Ìý

The IAD is responsible for :

CiviCRM: The central alumni database. The University community is requested to continuously appeal to graduates to keep their contact information (especially email addresses) current at or to email: iad@alumni.uwi.edu

ALUMNI RELATIONS:
Coordination and facilitation of institutional Alumni Relations policies and strategies. It is the central unit for the º£½ÇÉ¬Çø Alumni Association (º£½ÇÉ¬ÇøAA) Chapters, Monthly º£½ÇÉ¬ÇøAA teleconferences, annual Central Executive Committee (CEC) Meeting of the º£½ÇÉ¬ÇøAA etc.
